COUNTPL
COUNTPL counts all blocks inside a polyline. You pick one polyline as the boundary and the command opens the Countlist with everything that lies inside it, without you having to select the blocks themselves. Handy for counting one zone, section or area on its own.
Starting
Type COUNTPL on the command line, or use the button in the ribbon on the SCAD Production tab, Countlist panel.
How it works
- The command asks
Select polyline boundary:. Click the polyline that encloses the area. Other objects are refused withMust be a polyline. - The command selects all objects that lie completely inside the polyline (like a Window Polygon selection). If there are none it reports
No objects found inside polyline.and stops. - Otherwise it reports
N objects found inside polyline. Running countlist...and opens theCountlistwindow with the count of those objects. With more than 1000 objects you first see a progress barCounting blocks.... - From there you work in the
Countlistwindow as you do withCOUNTLIST.
