POWERPATCH

POWERPATCH is an older name of the click-to-patch command that is now called INFRAPATCH. It still works and runs exactly the same workflow: you click a source block (power distro, power BOB, Veam BOB or DMX node) and then the blocks that connect to it, and the names and channel numbers are written into the attributes. The full description is on the INFRAPATCH page.

New in 9.4: you can take steps back with Undo, and the blocks that the patch changes are highlighted while you work.

Starting

  • Type POWERPATCH on the command line.
  • Ribbon: tab SCAD Production, panel DMX / Power.

How it works

  1. At Select source block (distro, BOB, Veam BOB, or node): click the source block, for example a power BOB.
  2. For a power BOB you now get Select fixture for P-1 ch.1/4, 0/3500W, 0 new [Next/Undo/Multiple] (Enter=done):. Click the fixtures that hang on channel 1. The prompt shows the load of the channel against its limit.
  3. Use Next to continue with the next channel of the BOB. Press Enter when you are done.
  4. Every fixture you assign is highlighted and reported on the command line, for example -> P-1 ch.1 ID 12 [350/3500W]. The highlighting disappears when the command ends.
