SCADLIB: TAB-carrousel
The TAB carousel lets you swap blocks quickly while inserting from SCADLIB, without going back to the library. Hold TAB while the block is attached to the cursor and you can flip through the other blocks on the same page. The block under the cursor swaps along live.
Starting
In SCADLIB, click a block from the library so it attaches to the cursor. Then hold TAB. There is no separate command.
How it works
- In
SCADLIB, click a block. The block hangs on the cursor. - Hold TAB. A strip appears at the top of the drawing area with five blocks: the current block in the middle, two on each side. The outer two are faded. The selected block has its full name below it.
- Browse with the mouse wheel or the arrow keys:
- wheel up or arrow up/left: previous block
- wheel down or arrow down/right: next block
- click a block in the strip to jump straight to it
- Release TAB to keep the block shown. Clicking the middle block in the strip does the same.
- Or press
ESCto go back to the block that was attached when you pressed TAB. - Place the block as usual with a click in the drawing. If you click outside the strip, the block is placed, even while TAB is still held.
The block you picked is marked in the library, so you can see which one it is.
