STREETVIEW

STREETVIEW opens a Street View window next to your drawing. Click a point in the drawing and the window jumps to Street View at that spot, so you can quickly see what a location and its surroundings look like in reality. The command is still experimental.

Starting

Type STREETVIEW on the command line, or use the button in the ribbon on the SCAD Data / Export tab, GIS panel.

How it works

  1. The Street View window opens and stays on top of other windows. At first it shows Google Maps. At the bottom it says Click a point in the drawing....
  2. The command asks Pick point for Street View [ESC to exit]:. Click a point in the drawing.
  3. The window shows Street View at that spot. The status bar at the bottom shows the RD coordinates and the GPS coordinates of the point (RD: ... | WGS84: ...).
  4. Click another point to go to a different place. The command keeps asking for points until you press ESC or Enter.
  5. After ESC or Enter the window stays open. Use the Pick Location button at the bottom to start the command again. Close the window yourself when you are done; it remembers its position on screen.

Type a command (e.g. COUNTLIST) or a topic.
