SUBENTCOLORTO
SUBENTCOLORTO converts the colours of everything inside blocks to byLayer or byBlock in one go, down to nested blocks. You don’t need to explode the blocks. Useful when imported blocks have fixed colours so they no longer follow the layer colour, and you want to keep the colours in the drawing clean and consistent.
Starting
Type SUBENTCOLORTO on the command line, or use the button in the ribbon on the SCAD Core tab, Layers panel.
How it works
- The command asks
Convert subentity colors to [byLayer/byBlock]:. ChoosebyLayerorbyBlock. - The command goes through all blocks in model space, including blocks inside blocks, and converts the colour of all parts inside them. The attributes of the blocks are converted too.
- The drawing is refreshed and the command reports the result, for example
Converted N subentities to byLayer. Processed N block definitions. Skipped N external references.
